Combining the far-infrared effects of a charcoal plate and a uniquely-shaped lid, this griller gives food a soft inner texture with a crispy surface.

Can any type of fish be grilled?: Fish with low fat content such as flounder may stick to the charcoal plate.

How long is the preheating time?: It takes about 5 minutes on medium heat. (This is assuming you are cooking with gas. Please adjust your heat source as necessary.)

Is smoke emitted?: Yes, but please see the information in the recipes on "Cutting methods that emit less smoke".

Is it big enough to fit a whole saury as is?: It depends on the size of the saury, but if you cut it in half and grill it, it will cook more easily.

Can you grill food other than fish?: Of course. Grilling meat makes it juicy and vegetables will become fragrant.

Is it possible to use the charcoal plate unit alone?: No. Be sure to set it on the main unit frame before use.

Can it be washed in the dishwasher?: No. Only the lid can be washed in the dishwasher.

Will the charcoal plate break if dropped?: The charcoal plate has the same impact resistance as ordinary pottery and clay pots. Please handle with care.

Can I use it with an induction cooktop made overseas?: Some models of overseas induction cooktops cannot be used. Unfortunately, we do not have test information on hand for each model, so we are unable to provide an answer.
